An Olympic Air ATR 42 suffered a runway excursion after landing at Milos Airport, coming to a stop in the grass.

The ATR 42-600, with registration SX-OAY, was landing as flight OA-24 from Athens-Elefthérios Venizélos International Airport to Milo Airport in Greece when it was involved in the incident.

The aircraft stopped on soft ground, where all passengers and crew members were evacuated safely. According to the airline, 20 passengers were on board the plane, and no injuries were reported. However, the aircraft sustained minor damages.

In a statement, the airlines stated:

“During the flight, OA 024 from Athens to Milos which is performed with an ATR 42-600 aircraft, after landing and while it had slowed down and was running at a low speed for parking, due to strong lateral winds with gusts that prevailed in the area of the airport, deviated for a few meters outside the runway.

“All 20 passengers on board landed safely, and the company is taking all appropriate measures to control the aircraft.”
