Passengers of a Transavia Boeing 737 have been evacuated after landing gear caught fire while taxiing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

A Transavia spokeswoman said that flight #HV6730 came from Seville. After landing, the passengers were evacuated as a precaution. Photos of that evacuation show how people stand next to the aircraft and walk over the wings.

Several fire trucks from Schiphol were scrambled.

Schiphol says that the fire has been extinguished and the passengers are being taken care of.

Transavia still has to investigate what exactly happened and how the fire could have started.
