A Delta flight, going from Raleigh to New York, was forced to make an emergency landing after a woman tried to open the plane’s door.

“5935, like to declare an emergency, forward entry door’s open. We’ll need crash, fire, rescue,” the pilot said over dispatch.

Passengers said the woman was in hysterics and was yelling and tried to open the plane’s cabin door.

They said many of them were terrified by the woman’s shrieks of emotional distress.

At the gate, New York Port Authority Police took the woman to a hospital for an evaluation.
