An Allegiant Air jet slid off late Sunday night at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport. It remained closed on Monday morning.
The MD-80 came off the taxiway around 11:40 p.m. Sunday, and its 160 passengers and six crew were transported back to the terminal by way of buses.
The aircraft’s right wheel left the pavement and ended up on the grass. The airplane was taxiing at a very slow speed.
