Air France AF72 to Los Angeles is declaring an emergency.
The Boeing 777-300ER (reg. F-GSQL) has declared an emergency over London.
The flight was scheduled to land in Los Angeles LAX at 16.05.
- UPDATE Air France #AF72 returned to Paris due to a technical problem (engine oil system).
- UPDATE AF72 has landed safely runway 27L at Paris CDG 2 hour after departure.
- UPDATE The aircraft is currently dumping fuel at 15,000ft over the Channel before a return to Paris CDG.

Air France stated to AIRLIVE:
Air France confirms that the crew of flight AF072 from Paris-CDG to Los Angeles (LAX) in a B777-300 on 4 January 2023 decided to turn back after one hour of flight due to a technical problem (engine oil system).
The aircraft landed normally at Paris-CDG at 3.47pm local time.
Air France teams took charge of passengers as soon as they arrived. They will be accommodated and transported to their destination tomorrow morning.
Air France regrets the inconvenience caused by this situation and reminds that the safety of its customers and crew members is its absolute imperative.
